“That’s a wrap.” Summer 2017

Well, Summer Drama Camps have come and gone already! Wow, where did the summer go? I know – ASK YOUR CAMPER! It was so much fun working with everybody this year and can’t wait until we start planning next year’s camps and shows.

Please check your email and please respond to the surveys we sent out. We really want to hear back from you about how we did, what we could do better, etc. It’s a simple ten question SurveyMonkey form that should take not even five minutes to complete but would help us greatly! Thanks in advance for your feedback. (And thanks to all who have already completed it.)

For those who attend South Arbor, we are already in the early stages of planning next year’s show for the school. We can’t wait until we are able to let you all know what that might be!

Thanks again EVERYONE for supporting our kids through theatre and the arts!

AWESOME number of campers so far!

Just a quick update on camps.
We’re just about three weeks away from the start of the best time of Summer and we have over 90 kids registered so far for all three camps! That is totally awesome and our directors are loving it! All those great kids coming in that they get to work AND play with during camp.

Don’t forget to pay your balance in full before camp so there isn’t a hassle on the first day of your camp. Also, make sure you have registered your theatre camper online on the camp form so we have all the information we need (like contact info, t-shirt size, etc.) so that we can have everything ready the first day of each camp. Also, you can download the Liability Release form to bring with you the first day of camp.

Production meetings are happening this weekend as we get everything in place and ready to go. Stay tuned for more updates!

Thanks for being a part of this awesome family!!

Summer Drama Camps another success!

Thank you to everyone who participated, helped out, volunteered for camps this year to help make them all a rousing success!

Keep an eye out for an evaluation form for each of the camps where campers as well as parents can give us much needed feedback to help us make next year’s camps even better!

It is certainly a joy to have so many kids (and parents) participate in this year’s camps and we look forward to partnering with you all again, either next summer, or at the South Arbor Spring Musical!

Cut Loose @ Drama Camp 2016! #cspcamp2016

Senior High Camp! ONE WEEK BEFORE WE START!

“Now I gotta cut loose, footloose
Kick off your Sunday shoes
Please, Louise, pull me off of my knees
Jack, get back, come on before we crack
Lose your blues, everybody cut footloose”

Hope you’re getting excited about the senior high camp starting next Tuesday, July 5. Keep checking the Center Stage Facebook page each day this week.
Don’t forget to be working on your audition piece(s) for the “frooglefarting.”
(If you’ve been to camp before, you’ll know what this means. If not, wait till you show up the first day of camp…)

“Everybody cut, everybody cut
Everybody cut, everybody cut
(Everybody) everybody cut footloose!”

Senior High Camp [Footloose: The Musical] – Important Camp Info

Stay tuned to the website blogs for upcoming camp info. Also, make sure you have liked the Facebook page and keep up-to-date there, too!

Auditions will take place the first day of camp.  Everyone at camp is in the performance.  If you do not sing an audition piece you will be in the ensemble, but will not be considered for any role.

If you want to audition for a role in the show, you’ll need to prepare before camp begins.  To audition, be ready to sing, memorized, 16-32 bars (measures) of a song in the same style as the show (Footloose). Songs from the show are acceptable.  If you can select a song that has two contrasting styles, that would be great, but it is not required. If you have the sheet music, bring it to the first day of camp.

A monologue is not required for this year’s camp audition.
